Up to eight computing cores make the flagship of the i.MX 8 family fit for the highest demands in the areas of graphics, imaging and security. The integrated, hardware-based virtualization of the i.MX 8 with partitioning of the internal functional units enables the safe and isolated execution of several systems on one processor. The separation of the graphics and display units also contributes to this.

Comprehensive multimedia interfaces make the phyCORE-i. MX 8 from PHYTEC for the optimal System on Module for image and speech recognition. Thanks to the 64-bit RAM connection and up to 8 GB LPDDR4 RAM, even large amounts of data can be processed quickly and efficiently.
