Introduction

This application note provides a guide for how to connect the 10” EDT display (PHYTEC Article Number KLCD-AC168.A0) to the PHYTEC phyBOARD-Pollux.

Requirements

The following hardware requirements are necessary to successfully complete this Application Note. Deviations from these requirements are possible but may require the use of workarounds.

Connecting the Display

The following steps show how to correctly connect your display to the phyBOARD-Pollux.:

1. Connect the touchscreen cable to USB1 (X5) and to the back of the display (1).

2. Connect the backlight cable to LSVD1 (X26) and to the back of the display (2).
3. Connect the LVDS cable to LSVD1 (X24) and to the back of the display (3).

Software

Software Activation

phyBOARD-Pollux has two LVDS interfaces. LVDS1 (X24) is supported in the alpha1 release. We support a 10'' edt,etml1010g0dka display. HDMI is defined as a default display output. This can be changed by modifying the /etc/xdg/weston/weston.ini configuration:

target$ vi /etc/xdg/weston/weston.ini

Set the  mode of the output of LVDS-1 to "current" and the mode of HDMI-A-1 to "off":

After a restart of the board, the output will appear on the display instead of HDMI.
